What Is Prostrate Cancer?

prostate cancer You may have heard the mention of prostrate cancer. In all likelihood, either this was from a person who has misunderstood the term themselves or it was you who misunderstood what the person said. It is a common mistake that is made by many people and you should not be ashamed of.

There is no separate disease or gland prostrate, it is simply a misspelling or mispronunciation of prostate cancer. The correct term for cancer of the prostate gland is prostate cancer. It refers to a cancer that arises from the prostate gland, a part of the reproductive system in males. Prostate cancer is a common cancer in men and one of the leading causes of death from cancer in the US.
