Anal Cancer

Anal cancer is a general term referring to any malignant tumor arising from the anus or anal region. This can include cancers that originate in the end part of the rectum (part of the large intestine) as well as the anal canal itself and perianal region around the anal opening.

Tumors is this region are not uncommon but can vary quite a bit depending on what type and where the tumor exactly occurs. The risk factors, symptoms, causes, treatment and prognosis can all vary depending on these factors.
